Q: HOW LONG IS THE WARRANTY ON THE MECHANISM? WHAT DOES THE WARRANTY COVER?

A: Mechanisms have a 5 year warranty from time of purchase. Please keep receipt in a safe place for proof of purchase. The warranty covers damage on all components. Damaged parts on all DIY installations are only covered if the part is damaged due to factory faults. If a part is damaged when you do not follow the installation instructions to the step, the warranty is void.

A: Great question. All Hideaway Beds are real beds for everyday use. Standard Cambered slats for back Support. Also the double and queen size mechanisms have independent slats so that your partner will not be disturbed when turning during the night.

Q: HOW QUICKLY CAN I GET MY BED?

A: If the product is in stock, you will receive your Wall Bed Mechanism 7-14 working days from confirmed order. 100% payment must be made at time of order. Delivery will be organised 1 day after payment has cleared in our account. (Unless advised otherwise).

Q: CABINETRY. DO HIDEAWAY BEDS PROVIDE CUSTOM JOINERY?

A: Hideaway Beds does all the Cabinetry surrounding the Wall Bed Mechanisms seen in the pictures at this time. If you have your own Builder, Joiner/Cabinet maker, Interior Designer, or Architect we can supply them with all support material and Cabinetry Cutting List to complete your project. Q: CAN I USE MY EXISTING MATTRESS?

A: Yes. Mattress depth size must be a maximum of only up to 25cm. (For more information, please call Hideaway Beds). Any Standard Australian Innerspring mattress is suitable for all Hideaway Beds.

Q: HOW LONG DOES THE INSTALLATION TAKE ON A EURO DIY MECHANISM?

A: The EURO DIY installation should only take a maximum 2 hours if you follow the step-by-step instructions that are provided by Hideaway Beds. (Please read the full instructions before starting the installation).

Q: WHAT DO I DO IF THE BED BREAKS OUTSIDE THE WARRANTY TIME AND WARRANTY GUIDE LINES?

A: Please contact Hideaway Beds for replacement parts. Parts are sold individually at reasonable rates. If you require a Hideaway Beds installer to come and repair your mechanism, we charge $80 per hour + GST. This must be paid by cash at the time of the repair to the technician.

Q: WHAT IF I NEED MY OLD WARDROBE REMOVED?

A: Please contact the staff at Hideaway Beds. We can do this at an additional charge.

Q: HOW MUCH SPACE FOR THE INSTALLATION DO I NEED?

A: The room will need to be cleared as the bed is assembled in the room it is going in.

Q: WHAT IS THE METHOD OF PAYMENT?

A: Hideaway Beds accepts Direct Deposit or BPay direct from your bank account.
You can pay by credit card when you choose the BPay option. Biller Code and Reference number will be provided on your invoice when you place your order with Hideaway Beds.

Q: HOW HEAVY IS THE BED TO FOLD UP?

A: The Wall Bed Mechanisms are the easiest and lightest systems available.

Q: HOW SAFE IS IT AROUND CHILDREN?

A: The wall bed will not fall when you pull it down. It needs assistance as the spring mechanism holds the bed up for safety.

Q: HOW MUCH WEIGHT DOES THE BED HOLD?

A: It holds a combined weight of 380kg.

Q: IF THE BED IS ON BACK ORDER, HOW LONG DO I WAIT?

A: The approximate time is normally 12 weeks. However, we will keep you informed on a weekly basis.

Q: CAN WE INSTALL THE BEDS OURSELVES?

A: The EURO DIY Wall Beds are sold for the convenience of Doing-it-Yourself. However, the Manual Foot, All Day System, Fold-Down Door and Horizontal Side Fold MUST be built and installed by a builder or cabinet maker ONLY. Cabinetry Cutting Lists have been designed with the latest Do-It-Yourself Assembly and Installation techniques. All Wall Bed Mechanisms are pre-packed for easy Delivery and Assembly.
